Domestic equipment helps our country break through ultra-high purity graphite technology.

On November 26, reporters learned from the China Electronics Technology Group Corporation that its subsidiary, Shanxi China Electronics Technology Company, has overcome the technical challenges of ultra-high purity graphite powder purification processes. The self-developed horizontal purification equipment has achieved a significant breakthrough with purity indicators exceeding 99.99995%, providing strong technical and equipment support for the stable supply of ultra-high purity graphite.

 

It is understood that graphite is widely used in the industrial sector due to its conductivity, high-temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. The purity of natural graphite is usually around 95%, which can meet ordinary industrial needs, while ultra-high purity graphite with a carbon content of over 99.99% is required in high-precision fields such as semiconductors and aerospace. With the rapid development of related industries, the demand for ultra-high purity graphite continues to increase, leading to a supply-demand imbalance in the domestic market.

However, the graphite purification process is not simple, and the process requirements for purification equipment are extremely high. Traditional methods also require a significant amount of time and economic costs. Breaking through the technical bottlenecks of the purification process to meet industry needs is urgent.

 

In response, Shanxi China Electronics Technology Company has continuously carried out key equipment research and development and process technology breakthroughs focusing on high-purity carbon-based materials and lithium battery carbon nanotube materials. "Through the latest processes, our self-developed high-efficiency horizontal purification equipment purifies graphite powder with a purity of 99.93%, successfully achieving a purity exceeding 99.99995%." said the company's general manager, Xie Yongqiang. "This value is already close to the theoretical limit, almost reducing impurities to negligible levels."

 

In addition to the significant increase in purity, this process can reduce the production cost per kilogram to 40% of traditional methods through continuous optimization of parameters, achieving the lowest production cost while maximizing loading capacity. "Currently, this process has achieved batch production, with stable usage effects, and has received high recognition from customers," said Xie Yongqiang.

 

It is reported that as a national-level specialized and innovative 'little giant' enterprise, Shanxi China Electronics Technology Company has now formed a product line of purification equipment, including vertical high-temperature purification equipment, horizontal high-temperature purification equipment, vertical graphitization equipment, horizontal graphitization equipment, and high-efficiency deposition equipment, which are widely used in fields such as semiconductors and solar energy.
